The Chief Justice Shirley S. Abrahamson Legacy Committee

Join us in our newest project: a feature-length documentary about our judicial system, told through the story of Shirley Abrahamson.

“Without an independent judiciary, none of us in the United States has a fair chance in court. That is what we must protect.”
     – Chief Justice Shirley Abrahamson

In these unprecedented times, how can the legacy of Shirley Abrahamson, Wisconsin’s first woman justice, guide us in the fight for justice for all?

JUSTICE FOR ALL will be a feature-length documentary about our judicial system, viewed through the lens of the compelling story of Wisconsin’s first woman justice, Shirley Abrahamson. The film will unfold over three acts, weaving together stories about Abrahamson’s life and career with current events, following contemporary cases as they unfold across multiple states, and illustrating how Abrahamson’s philosophy takes on tangible meaning, revealing how constitutional principles shape everyday lives.

Bringing a feature-length documentary to life is a huge undertaking and we need your help to make it happen! Currently we are just under 20% of the way to our total goal. Donate today to keep the momentum going!
